Pentecost on the Park Cambridge

We are group of churches and individuals who have a vision to see Christians of all denominations gather in public spaces in Cambridge to celebrate Pentecost, a significant event in the birth and life of the church. We believe this demonstration of unity will be a powerful witness.

The 2024 event includes live worship from Lighthouse Church, King’s Church, Heavenly Feast Church and Cambridge Vineyard Church and speakers who will be sharing the good news of Jesus. In 2024 the speakers are Graham Daniels (Christians in Spot and St Andrews the Great, Connie Taylor (YWAM), Olivier Fleury (Founder of JC2033), and Jason De-Vaux (Zion Baptist Church) We hope that those who attend will experience the love and grace of God, and that Christians in Cambridge will both attend the event and invite friends, neighbours and family to com and enjoy the vent too, and in do so hear the call of God on their lives too.

The organising group for Pentecost on The Park Cambridge are:

  • Tony Males (Arbury Community Church)
  • Mark Harbour (Cambridge Vineyard Church)
  • Jason De Vaux (Zion Baptist Church)
  • Julian Mabey (King’s Church)
  • Cherian Mathew (Heavenly Feast)
  • Charles Wilson
  • Mark Mills-Powell

Although we come from different christian traditions, we choose to unite around the good news of Jesus as expressed in the Apostle’s Creed:

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
